Welcome to the Center for Chemical Biology and Therapeutics (CCBT) 

The Center for Chemical Biology and Therapeutics (CCBT) is a newly established research center at the University of Chicago committed to bridging chemical biology and clinical applications through interdisciplinary and translational science. Under the leadership of Dr. Hening Lin and Dr. Chuan He, CCBT serves as a hub for collaboration among chemists, biologists, engineers, and clinical scientists to accelerate drug discovery and therapeutic innovation.

The center provides a robust platform to support cutting-edge research, with core strengths in assay development, high-throughput screening, small molecule discovery, and chemical probe development. Through our Therapeutic Core Facility, CCBT also supports protein biochemistry, molecular therapeutics, protein engineering, and advanced cell-based assays.

Our mission is to advance collaborative innovation by partnering with both academic and industry scientists to bring discoveries from bench to bedside. We are building a vibrant research community dedicated to translating fundamental insights into impactful treatments, and we welcome those who share this vision to connect and collaborate with us.
